A little bit about me.
Melbourne-based marketing professional. Strategic thinker. Social media expert. Coffee lover. 90s music tragic.
With over twelve years of marketing experience across the retail, hospitality and sporting industries, I’ve lost count of the number of briefs I’ve written (and received), strategies I’ve prepared, presentations I’ve (ahem) presented and things I’ve learnt.
After finishing school in Albury on the New South Wales / Victorian border, I made the move down to the big smoke where I studied a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne. At university I developed a fascination with language and communication, which led to a double major in Linguistics & Applied Linguistics and Italian. Fun fact: I completed my honours thesis on Australian Rhyming Slang. Not joking. Happy to explain more when we catch up.
I began my marketing career in the events industry (another passion of mine), working in racing for several years before moving into retail. I spent seven years in the marketing team at Myer, where I worked on countless digital campaigns, managed SEM, digital display and paid social advertising, built the current Myer social media channels from the ground up and led some pretty great first-to-market social campaigns (if I do say so myself), including this one and this one.
Since then I’ve worked in the out of home entertainment industry, driving the digital strategy for some pretty awesome brands including Strike Bowling, Holey Moley Mini Golf, Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq and Juke’s Karaoke Bar.
But enough about me. Let’s talk about you.
These are a few of my favourite things.*

Reading
…The Flatshare by Beth O’Leary.
I’m in love with the characters and hooked on the story: a guy and a girl sharing a single-bedroom London flat who have never met. She’s an editor and sleeps there each night, he works nights and lives there during the day. It’s quick-witted and one that won’t take you forever to get into.
Listening To
… two great podcasts by two great women.
Gemma Watts’ Glow Journal features fascinating interviews with some of the best minds in the beauty industry, and Brene Brown’s Unlocking Us is such an important listen as we try to navigate through uncertain times.
Learning
… how to bake like a pro.
I managed to get my hands on a copy of Beatrix Bakes by Natalie Paull, who runs a bakery of the same name in North Melbourne. I’ve started with a few classic cakes (baked cheesecake, carrot cake, sponge cake) but I’m just about ready take the leap into pastries and doughs.
